What’s On : Saturday 8th July (evening)

Jun 30, 2023

The evening’s performances kick off at 5pm on Peregrine stage with the sublime Katie Spencer followed by the funky sounds of The Gravy Train. Gambian musician Sefo Kanuteh brings his world sounds to the stage followed by the bombastic folk-rock attitude of Blackbeard’s Tea Party, finishing off with the folk-punk infused sounds of Ferocious Dog. Over on the Kingfisher stage, Paper Sparrows kick off at 7pm, followed by transatlantic neo-folk trio The Magpies and the unchartered one-man band of Funke & The Two Tone Baby. On the Nightingale stage, Steve Warner opens the evening’s proceedings at 4pm with The Writing of the Corran Ferry, then it’s over to you with the Club Tent Competition (winner opens the evening concert on the Peregrine stage on Sunday) and the Saturday night tunes & song session. For younger visitors, Stories with Malcolm will lull the slightly sleepy, and model & dream catcher making with Louise ad Naomi will continue all day. And after a full day & evening of music and much more…relax!  Tickets – Ely Folk Festival
