In 2021 we experimented with introducing an open stage to the festival, mainly to help ensure a covid-safe festival. The reaction to the open stage was overwhelmingly positive and we’ve decided to bring it back this year & call it the Peregrine Stage. The open stage will replace our main marquee, but we will retain the other two marquees for music (to be known as Kingfisher & Nightingale Stages) & the starshade for additional cover. We’ve also been busy redesigning the festival layout – check out the latest version on our accommodation page – Where To Stay – Ely Folk Festival.. We listened to feedback from campers and have configured some of our campsites to accommodate, tents, caravans & campervans on the same campsite. We’ll continue to refine the layout of the festival site over coming months & will share updates on these pages.
