Marshlander is a songwriter and monoband singing his songs to the accompaniment of guitar, harmonica and footdrums. Many of his songs tell stories and they often poke into some dark areas of human behaviour. He lives on a narrowboat in a remote part of the Fens where there is little else to do but make music and write songs of dissent, lust, death, blasphemy and rivers. When not writing or performing for his own amazement you may stumble across him busking in a small town with cheap parking and quite likely wondering why he didn’t get round to having this much fun fifty years ago. His first album, “Head Above Water” was released independently in 2019. He has made a start on the next one and it will be released … eventually. Marshlander will appear in our Friday Night Showcase.
