Isla Mae is a teenage singer songwriter who enjoys telling and creating stories through song. In 2021, she won the Cambridgeshire Music Rhapsody Songwriting Project and became a Finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest and then went on to win “Best Acoustic Act” and Cambridge 105 Radio’s “One to Watch” awards at the Cambridge Band Competition in 2022. Isla Mae has performed at Camp Bestival Dorset, Camp Bestival Shropshire and other festivals locally such as Strawberry Fair. She is also a regular at many Open Mic nights and enjoys breaking up her studies by busking in Cambridge City Centre. Isla will perform as part of our Youth Folk Challenge on Friday evening.
