Described by Ely Radio and Cambridge 105 presenter Sue Marchant as” A bit of a treasure”, Cambridgeshire’s Frog on a Bike are one of East Anglia’s finest and most popular ceilidh bands. They also have a highly respected reputation on the wider English ceilidh scene, having played at many major folk festivals. Featuring some of the most experienced folk dance musicians in the business, Frog on a Bike’s vivacious energy, distinctively big folk-rock sound and driving rhythm is guaranteed to have you up and dancing. Their verve and vigour on stage ensures a memorable foot stomping performance every time.
With repertoire rooted in the tunes of the British Isles, including many self-penned, and a finely balanced line-up of melodeon, fiddle, mandolin, recorder, bass, and full drum kit, you won’t be disappointed that you came along for a ride with Frog on a Bike! Calling for the Saturday evening ceilidh will be Morris dancer extraordinaire, and co-host of the “Morris Babes” podcast, Oliver Simons.
