We’ve got three great ceilidhs lined up for Ely Folk Festival this year. The magnificent Steamchicken Ceilidh Band’s combination of a solid rhythm section, horns everywhere and the odd nod to tradition will bring virtuosic cacophony to our late night ceilidh on Friday. The Saturday afternoon family ceilidh will be led by one of East Anglia’s finest ceilidh bands – the eponymous Denis Cuddles Starlight Band who will be sprinkling a smattering of their dance fairy dust on dancers of all ages. Sunday evening sees the fantastic Stumpy Oak play wonderful Scottish, Irish and English tunes to get toes tapping and shake the rafters. Ceilidhs – lots of fun, great exercise, no dance experience necessary!
