We welcome visitors of all abilities to the festival.

Festival site

The festival site comprises a couple of gently undulating rough grazing fields that are uneven in part, so care is required when moving around.

We have allocated an accessible camping area on Emerald Field close to the main festival arena for sweekend visitors with mobility challenges. If you wish to book an accessible camping pitch please email site@elyfolkfestival.co.uk before you book your weekend festival ticket and we will provide you details on how to do so. Accessible toilet & shower facilities are available close to the accessible camping area and festival arena; as is an area for charging mobility scooters. Assistance dogs are very welcome on the festival site.

Arriving at the festival

An accessible / blue badge car parking area is available on the festival site. If you need to use it, let our gate stewards know when you arrive, and they will direct you to the parking area. If you have pre-booked a camping space in our accessible camping area, also let the stewards know and they will direct you to the right location.

A free shuttle bus operates between the festival site, Ely city centre and train station. There is space for a wheelchair on each shuttle bus. At busy times, a double decker bus will also run – unfortunately we are unable to guarantee that there will be wheelchair space available on the double deckers.

Enjoying the festival

We set aside areas for visitors with limited mobility close to our stages. If you wish to avail yourself of them, ask the venue stewards who will direct you to these areas.

We have First Aid support available on the festival site staffed with qualified paramedics throughout the festival, 24 hours. They can be found near the Festival Information tent at the entrance to the arena. If appropriate, please introduce yourself to the team.
