Ray Langton is a virtuoso player of the melodeon along with being an extremely fine singer. We’re delighted to have him start off the music in Marquee 3 on Friday. You’ll also see him around the festival as Professor Squeezyjig and don’t miss his mini melodeon workshop on Sunday.
Ray Langton is a virtuoso player of the melodeon along with being an extremely fine singer. He is a well known and highly regarded performer on the folk scene playing both traditional and self penned tunes. His CD ‘For Curiosity’ features backings from many other talented performers who readily agreed to work with Ray. Ray has shared stages with many other well known ‘squeezebox’ players and is the master mind behind Squeezing Shropshire. Along with concert performances, Ray also entertains families and children with his costumed act as Professor Squeezyjig and runs mini melodeon workshops for those aged 8-108! “The melodeon player’s melodeon player” – Richard Johnson Music on the Marr July 2012
