The joys of festival stewarding

stewards_20_2170930534  Volunteer stewards are the backbone of our festival as they help make the event run like clockwork over the festival weekend. Why do they do it?  Certainly not for the pay!  Comradeship… love of great music… enjoying wearing fluorescent waistcoats… making a great little event happen…all sorts of reasons. Most of our stewards come year after year, so  it must be rewarding. We’re now recruiting stewards to help out at our 2016 festival. In return for around 10 hours of your time over the festival weekend, we’ll give you a complimentary weekend festival pass and free on-site camping. If you’d like to find out more, check out our stewards page and apply http://elyfolkfestival.co.uk/information/stewards/

In the words of someone who has stewarded at Ely Folk Festival –  “I have to say that Ely Festival is something rather special. Just the right size, great artists and atmosphere and with a great bunch of people involved. We met so many really good people. It was well organised without being bureaucratic”
