Showcasing East Anglian talent

Opaque   Over the last 8 years our Friday Night Local Bands Showcase has gone from strength to strength. It’s an opportunity to catch some of the great East Anglian music talent out there in the intimate setting of Marquee 2. We’re pleased to say that 2018 builds on that tradition with five diverse acts lined up. Six-piece band Opaque is an eclectic and genre-defying act who fuse elements of folk, swing and gypsy into their impassioned and engaging performances.  Cary Outis is a singer songwriter and guitarist whose influences are the country blues players of the twenties and thirties, the raw gypsy flamenco musicians, and the likes of Segovia. Brother Pit is a seven-piece Americana sting-band based in Norwich that plays an eclectic and light-hearted mix of traditional American, Irish and South-American songs & original material. Singer, songwriter Lee Gillett performs songs from the 1920’s onwards including early blues songs and Americana roots music as well as his own material. Lovehats perform original material in a blues/rock vein with added groove/attitude. Tickets for Friday night of the festival are on sale and are £26 per adult.
