Ross & Jarlath…Pipers, Tunesmiths, Entertainers

ross-jarlath   Not just one, but two pipers and highly talented musicians in the form of Ross Ainslie & Jarlath Henderson blend the best of Scottish & Irish traditions through Uilleann pipes, border pipes, whistle and song, that is an up-to-date, contemporary reflection of the state of acoustic traditional music in the 21st Century. Ross Ainslie is one of Scotland’s finest traditional musicians and composers, playing pipes, whistles and cittern. Jarlath from County Tyrone in Northern Ireland, is the youngest ever winner of the BBC Young Folk Award, back in 2003, and is renowned primarily for his extraordinary prowess on uilleann pipes and whistles, while fast emerging as an equally gifted vocalist.  Ross and Jarlath will entral the audience on Sunday of the festival.
