Festival welcomes harpist

Jennifer Crook  Singer songwriter, harpist, guitarist, Jennifer Crook is a much loved feature of Britain’s folk scene. Since first coming to attention in the BBC Young Tradition Award, and with collaborations that encompass Boo Hewerdine, Eddi Reader & Snow Patrol, Jennifer has released a string of intelligent, finely-crafted albums spanning Celtic, English & Americana traditions, attracting plaudits from Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2 & the folk press. Jennifer’s live performances swing from heart-wrenching to foot-tapping. Her latest album ‘The Year, She Turns’ is inspired by the seasons & months and was produced with a family of friends including Eliza Carthy, Miranda Sykes (Show of Hands), Andy Davis (Stackridge, John Lennon), Charlie Jones (Robert Plant, Goldfrapp), & Stephen W Tayler (Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks). With her longtime collaborator Mike Cosgrave on guitar, accordion & wit; & new member Clare Lindley, Jennifer Crook brings a fresh approach to a great catalogue of wonderful songs. Jennifer will perform on Saturday of the festival.
