Festival off to a sunny start

causeway-ceili  The sun is shining on the festival site as it gears up to receive the first festival visitors this afternoon. There’s an action-packed evening ahead with the concert in marquee 1 opening with some fast-paced British-Americana bended folk from our 2017 Band Competition winners Alden Patterson and Dashwood. The Sam Kelly Trio, Georgia Lewis Band and TRADarrr complete a fantastic opening concert line-up. In marquee 2, the Friday Night Showcase gets underway at 7.15pm with great East Anglian acts including Moxette, Boxwood Chessmen, and Lady Hamilton’s Concert Party delighting the audience. A mini concert with Geoff and Jacqui & open mic stage with David Savage will take place in marquee 3. The evening will be rounded off with a late night ceilidh by Urban Folk Theory for those with the energy left to dance.  Check out our line-up page for more information on these great acts. Tickets still available for this evening and the rest of the weekend from the box office on the festival site. Tickets for Friday evening are £25 for adults, £8 for kids between 12-17 years; and kids under 12 get in free.
