Clogs, sticks, hankies and bells…

MorrisParade riot … will be stamped, waved and shook along Ely High Street on Saturday 9th July as over 200 morris dancers make their way in the festival morris procession. Bringing mayhem, spectacle and a touch of madness to the streets of Ely, this year we’re welcoming 18 dance sides from all over the country to help celebrate Ely Folk Festival. The morris sides will perform at various spots around Ely on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July, collecting on behalf of our chosen local charity for 2016  – Branching Out (http://branchingoutuk.com/). Fancy trying your hand (or feet) at some morris dancing? – the legendary Witchmen  and Rattlejag will be running dance workshops on the festival site on Sunday.
