Kids Stuff

Kids love Ely Folk Festival as there’s so much to do… crafts…music…story-telling…yoga…family concert…bug hunts…kids procession…games…fun…play…and lots more.

This year our theme is River Life…eels and other wriggly things.  Visit the Babylon Arts tent and collaborate with an assortment of artists to create festival inspired prints, poems, drawings and songs. Borrow a drawing kit to help document every corner of the site and display your doodles and masterpieces in the Babylon ARTS tent. Be inspired by the festival poet who will help you articulate the wonders of the festival in verse; or join the Babylon ARTS impromptu band to pen a new festival tune and learn last year’s composition ‘Eels, Reels and Glokenspiels’. Take part in a French dance workshop & learn some snazzy dance moves. The activities will also include the wonderful Culture Cart and their mobile printing press, giving you the opportunity to create a wonderful festival souvenir in the form of your own art print. If that was not enough, on Sunday, have your 15 minutes of fame on the stage in Marquee 3 when Babylon Arts will be sharing some of the work produced before the Family Concert with Megson.

We will be pulling together a special kids programme for the 2017 festival and details can be downloaded here closer to the event.
