Mortal Tides

mortal tides  Reviewed recently in The Independent they are described as a promising and “insanely young” alt folk band. Pete Paphides (Guardian and Observer) has described their sound as “Ace!”. With a reputation for wowing audiences at barnstorming gigs, Mortal Tides are made up of two brothers, Noah and Jed Bevington (guitar, violin, piano and haunting crunching fraternal harmonies) with a skin tight rhythm section (George Brignal, drums and Fergus Quill, electric and upright double bass) are the engine. Their sound is folk, coloured in with shades of Radiohead, Dry the River, Alt-J, Americana, and Jazz. Their songwriting is full of promise and heartbreak and needs to be heard as their early reviews suggest. They will perform  on Sunday at the festival.
